Praxys mail was being read in Zoho's browser because the free plan had no IMAP, no POP, and no API. The practical failure was that a session could expire and make a signed-out browser look exactly like a quiet inbox. A paid plan could have supplied IMAP, but we chose a forwarding and read-only integration instead.

The admin already had an append-only audit log at the application level. We added a second table and a hash for each entry so the database could detect a rewritten row. Every new audit row now commits to the complete event and to the hash immediately before it.

We needed the bot fleet and a coding agent to hand work to each other without giving an agent a database credential. The operations repository was already the fleet's durable record, so we made it the handoff surface too. A task is a Markdown file in a shared repository, not a direct call into the admin database.

When we connected X to our bot fleet, the platform's review layer treated every call the same way. A bot reading its own mentions raised the same approval card as a bot posting. Inside a scheduled routine there is nobody to tap the card, so the morning mention sweep never ran.
